Floor Manager – Dropzone Entertainment

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Floor Manager to join our team at Dropzone — a fast-paced, multi-attraction entertainment venue. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations across the venue, including bowling, arcade, and front-of-house service areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise staff across all areas of the venue

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and handle guest enquiries or complaints professionally

  • Manage bookings and customer transactions through the POS system

  • Support, train, and develop team members, including junior staff and supervisors

  • Ensure all bowling lanes, arcade machines, and equipment are operating effectively

  • Monitor the venue environment, including adherence to NZ liquor licensing laws

  • Coordinate with kitchen and operations teams for group bookings and events

  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting

  • Maintain communication between shifts and department heads

  • Assist with stock management and daily operational requirements

About You:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role (hospitality or entertainment preferred)

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

  • Confident problem solver with a proactive approach

  • Comfortable managing both people and operational tasks

  • Eligible to meet liquor licensing requirements (must be 20+)

Hours: This is a full-time role and requires availability across a 7-day roster, including nights, weekends, and school holidays.

Shift Supervisor – Dropzone Entertainment

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Shift Supervisor to join our team at Dropzone, a busy multi-attraction entertainment venue. This role is responsible for supporting daily operations and leading the team on shift to ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff and support team performance during shifts

  • Deliver excellent customer service and assist with enquiries or complaints

  • Assist with bookings, POS transactions, and customer flow

  • Ensure all areas of the venue are operating efficiently

  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational standards

  • Support training and development of junior team members

  • Monitor guest behaviour and ensure compliance with venue rules and liquor licensing requirements

  • Assist with opening and closing procedures as required

About You:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior team member role preferred

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

  • Reliable, proactive, and solutions-focused

  • Must be eligible to meet liquor licensing requirements (20+)

Hours: This role requires availability across a 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends, and school holidays.
