Digger Zone Attendant

🚜 Love remote control vehicles? Great with people? Ready to be part of Taupō's newest attraction? We're looking for two enthusiastic team members to join the crew at Digger Zone, our brand-new hands-on attraction featuring RC diggers, excavators, dump trucks, tanks and more! This is not your average customer service role. You'll be helping guests of all ages get the most out of their experience, keeping the attraction running smoothly, and ensuring everyone has a fantastic time.

What you'll be doing:

Welcoming and assisting guests Teaching customers how to operate the RC vehicles Supervising sessions and ensuring safe operation Troubleshooting minor issues and keeping vehicles running Managing multiple groups and activities at once Creating a fun, positive experience for both children and adults Maintaining the attraction and keeping the area tidy and presentable

What we're looking for:

✅ Available to work both Saturday and Sunday (essential)

✅ Confident working in a busy environment

✅ Able to think on your feet and solve problems quickly

✅ Friendly, outgoing and comfortable talking to people of all ages

✅ Patient with little kids and able to handle enthusiastic big kids too

✅ Able to follow procedures and take direction

✅ Reliable, punctual and a team player

✅ Not afraid to get your hands dirty! You'll be happy changing batteries, carrying out basic vehicle checks, and using simple tools such as screwdrivers to keep our fleet of diggers, trucks and tanks ready for action.

Bonus points if you have:

⭐ Experience operating RC cars, diggers, trucks, tanks or similar vehicles

⭐ Previous customer service, retail, hospitality or entertainment experience

⭐ An interest in machinery, construction equipment or anything with wheels and tracks

Hours:

Casual / Part-time hours available, with the potential for additional shifts across other areas of The Landing precinct for the right people.
